COT widgets for your website

Show your readers where hedgers and funds stand – on your blog, in a newsletter archive or on a club page. Pick a market or the list of current extremes, copy the snippet, paste it into your page. The widget updates itself with every CFTC release.

For information and education only – the widgets describe positioning, not trade recommendations.

Good to know

What the numbers mean. The COT Index places a group's current net position within its range of the past three years: 100 is the most net long, 0 the most net short. Readings of 90 or higher, or 10 or lower, count as an extreme. The labels come from the COT screener and are explained in COT extremes explained.

How fresh is it? The CFTC publishes positions as of Tuesday every Friday afternoon (US Eastern time); the widgets show the new numbers shortly after. Roll and expiry dates move on as each contract rolls. There is nothing to maintain on your side.

Free, with a credit. You may use the widgets on any site, commercial or not, as long as the credit link below the widget stays in place. The widgets carry no ads, set no cookies and load no tracking scripts.

Size. 300 pixels wide; on narrower screens the widget shrinks to fit. The market card is 268 pixels high, the extremes list 372.

Information only. The widgets describe how traders are positioned. They are no trade recommendation and no investment advice – see the full disclaimer.
